Stall Holder Information
FAQs
How do I apply for a stall?
Please email us on jo@congletoncommunityprojects.org
or contact us via this website. We will need to know
about your produce and where you are based. We
consider your produce, how far you need to travel and
whether we already have the same produce you are
offering. If everything fits we will email you an
application form.
What certificates do I need?
You will need, Public Liability insurance, Food Hygiene
certificate and a risk assessment.
I am selling alcohol do I need a TEN’s licence?
Yes you will need to apply to Cheshire East for a TEN
licence using this link
I am selling produce only can I bring a Gazebo?
Gazebos for produce are rare and only for specific
circumstances. The Festival is in the town centre and we
are limited on space so gazebo space is reserved for
street food pop-ups. Contact us if you have a van,
trailer or horsebox
Gazebos must be no more than 3’ x 3’. You must
contact us if your gazebo is bigger than that.
What size is the stall?
We offer a covered market stall with table top 10’ x 4’
for producers. You will need a table cover and you can
hang banners on the front of the table and at the back.
Do you have electricity?
We are very limited on electricity. Please let us know
details of all your appliances and related power in
amps/watts. Charge for electricity range from £15 - £30
I have gas bottles for cooking is that OK?
You can use gas bottles as long as you have all your
certificates in place and bring them with you on the
day. You will also need straps and a suitable fire
extinguisher or fire blanket.
What time do we arrive?
You will receive an information pack explaining arrival
times, and car parking. Arrival time is mainly from 8.30
– 9.30. All vehicles must be off site at 10am
Can I unload by my stall?
Yes we will direct you to your stall, please unload as
quickly as possible, drive to the designated carpark and
then return to set your stall up. Please pull up with
consideration and avoid blocking the road so other
vehicles can get past. We appreciate your courtesy to
our volunteers and other stallholders when unloading
as it is a very hectic hour!
Do you provide chairs?
No, I’m afraid we do not.
Where are the toilets?
We will explain where the public toilets are relative to
your stall and there is a map on the website. Local
venues are pretty tolerant of stallholders using their
facilities.
I am disabled, how can you help with this?
Please let us know of any disabilities well in advance.
We can locate you near to parking and offer help from
our stewards for unloading etc
Can I leave my rubbish?
This is an absolute no. Please bag up your rubbish and
take it away with you. The Festival is organised by
volunteers and we have to empty all the bins
throughout the day and at the end. Please be
considerate of this. It is a nightmare to have
stallholder’s pile their packaging etc by our bins as it’s
been a long day for all of us!
